You can't go wrong with Jack and Jan. First a call to Jack to tell him what the problem is. He helped solve it, or at least get me back on the road to get the car to him, avoiding a costly tow charge. Then, once in the shop, Jack educates you to what the problem is, what needs to be done, how much it will cost, and he keeps an eye out for you. I've said this before, but I trust Jack and Jan, which is something I don't often say about any car people -- and Jack knows I'm terrible with cars. He could take advantage of me, like some mechanics do, but he educates and he's fair.
